Do you remember self-care?

There is a lot of energy in self-care through wellness and the ritual itself, where it’s about taking care of yourself. When the result is beautiful, glowing skin, it just gets even better.

Your first challenge is time. You need to set aside at least 15 minutes, but preferably 1 hour. Having one day a week where you have an appointment with yourself is the first step. If you feel guilty about the laundry basket, where the lid hasn’t been able to close for a long time, a missing meeting minutes document, then put it down for a moment. You’ll get to it. 

Mental wellness:

  • Make a cup of tea.
  • Take a deep breath at least 3 times.
  • Lower your shoulders.
  • Think of something good.

 

If you have more time, apply a nourishing face mask while you close your eyes to relaxing music.

Nourishing and skin-renewing wellness guide

What you need: Small towel, ice cube, cleanser, exfoliant, face mask, Gua Sha, and facial oil.

Start by cleansing the skin and then apply a facial exfoliator, which you massage in circular motions around the face. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Apply your face mask and lie down somewhere comfortable and close your eyes for at least approx. 10 minutes.

Take a clean small towel and rinse it in hot water and wring it out well. You can also make a bowl of hot water where you add a single drop of essential oil, so you get a spa scent. Place the tightly wrung towel over the face, with the nose almost free, and linger a bit in the pleasant warmth.  Press the towel against the skin on the cheeks, forehead, and chin. Then remove the rest of the mask.

Find a comfortable chair and put an ice cube in a glass that you place next to you.

Apply your facial oil, use a couple of drops more than usual. 

Then start gliding your gua sha over the face. See our massage guide, if needed, before you begin. Massage for at least 10 minutes. When you’re almost finished, dip your Gua Sha down to the ice cubes so it becomes ice-cold, and then glide it around the eyes.

Pat a little cream onto the face, and if you have time, it’s recommended to finish with a short nap.
