Behind S:KØN Skincare is Mina Ingerslev, founder with more than 35 years of experience in the professional beauty industry. Throughout her career, her work has existed at the intersection of aesthetics, skin understanding and responsibility – forming the foundation on which S:KØN is built.
S:KØN is not created from trends, but from expertise, experience and conscious choices.
MINA INGERSLEV'S BACKGROUND
Mina has worked with skin and aesthetics at every level of the industry. Her career began as a cosmetologist and makeup artist and has included work for fashion magazines, film and television, as well as her role as Chief Makeup Artist for Max Factor and later as creator of Only Cosmetics for Bestseller.
This broad experience has given Mina a deep understanding of skin biology, ingredient properties and the demands of modern cosmetic formulation – creatively, technically and ethically.
Recognising how often compromises are made in product development became the starting point for creating a brand built on stronger professional integrity.

Skincare became Mina’s natural focus – an area where knowledge, formulation and responsibility can come together in products with clear function.
For Mina Ingerslev, S:KØN represents the culmination of a long professional journey – and a continued ambition to develop honest, knowledge-based skincare, where every choice can be explained, justified and made with integrity.
A PERSONAL NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER - MINA INGERSLEV
S:KØN Skincare is created from many years of experience – but also from reflection. After more than 35 years in the beauty industry, I have seen how products are developed, how trends emerge, and how compromises can sometimes become part of the process.
With S:KØN, I wanted to create something different. Something more considered. More thoughtful. And more honest.
For me, skincare is not about promising miracles, but about taking responsibility for the choices that are made. Every ingredient, every formulation and every exclusion is the result of professional assessment and the knowledge available at the time of development.
I also know that no choice is ever perfect. Knowledge evolves. New raw materials become available. New perspectives emerge. That is why I see S:KØN as a living process – one where we continuously seek to learn more and improve, whenever it makes professional sense.
As a smaller brand with in-house production, we have the opportunity to work closely with our formulations and respond when new knowledge arises. This comes with responsibility – but also with the freedom to act with integrity.
S:KØN is my approach to skincare created with respect. Respect for the skin. For the people who use the products. For the raw materials and their origins. And for the world we are part of.
